Sunday Sun-day

So, this past Sunday I was bored with predictability regarding my food choices. I try to stay healthy and eat lots of greens and vegetables, etc. And sometimes my food choices become redundant so I decided I'd mix a whole bunch of random spices and see what happens. To be honest I tried to stay within similar spice families but beyond that I was pretty random. Luckily I had my mom in the neighboring room to provide her taste buds so that I would have a legitimate judge besides myself as in the past I generally eat anything I make regardless of its taste. Not saying I'm a bad cook or anything. Believe it or not, the mysterious spice breaded chicken I made was an absolute hit. Who knew throwing in random seasonings could update taste buds and actually taste good. To be honest, this foray into the unknown charters of food was inspired by the food-network. So cheers to that!

In the next few weeks I'll be posting the recipe and taking pictures. Unfortunately, I can't share the recipe today, because I didn't measure anything thus in the coming weeks I'll try it again and will use actual measurements.

Where have I been?

Dearest Blog Readers,

In accordance with my recent initiatives, I have continued to do something that scares me everyday and guess what that has been most recently? D I S C O N N E C T I N G and attempting to be present. Not worrying about blogposts or constantly responding to emails but truly being in the moment. This past summer I've learned a lot about myself and interests. Although, being disconnected is a nice,  I'm back in time for fall. Enjoy the last days of summer. I'll be coming back at y'all in a few!

XO

3 Things I'm Obsessed With Right Now...

1. "Stop Listening: You Define Your Twenties" in LEVO League that provides a counterargument to the never ending 20s debate. http://www.levoleague.com/lifestyle/you-define-your-twenties. Conclusion: Do you and never stop doing you! You're all gone with the wind F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S.

2.  "Building a Movement and Not a Campaign" essentially a lot of word jargon but nonetheless an interesting read. At the end of the day its about the human contact and relationship. http://www.fastcompany.com/3013166/dialed/build-a-movement-not-a-campaign-and-youll-ignite-passion-in-your-brands-true-believer

Sometimes life is a beach

Hey Lovelies,

The other day one of my friend's here,  Priscilla celebrated her 21st Birthday on the beach! It was my first time heading to Lido since being here (embarrassing). Check out some of the looks from the day.

The city of hats.

A girl born in Washington D.C with the backdrop of embassies now travels beyond the city lines on a quest to learn a bit more. A bit about the world. Although, I haven't traveled everywhere (yet), I learned so much from the people and experiences I've had. Two weeks ago I had the opportunity to visit Morocco and Rome Italy. Opposite cultures, languages, and continents! I loved both places. Here are some pictures from my travels. Being in Morocco was truly refreshing, as someone with Nigerian roots it was interesting to see the relationships between Northern and Western Africa. I found inspiration everywhere, whether it be the noisy streets or the vibrant colors in the notable tannery. I can't wait to rock the new pillows I purchased! Thanks Morocco for sharing a bit of you with me.

Why don't all my meals look like this?

Frolicked through the Atlas Mountains, relaxed in the most tranquil gardens, and played with monkeys.

The crown wakes up ;)
